CASPUR-SNS agreement
 The Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and CASPUR have signed a three years agreement devoted to common initiatives in promoting high performance computing in computational chemistry, physics and mathematics.
The agreement which includes the CEICS computing centre of the SNS and will be coordinated by Prof. V. Barone, will involve education activities and sharing of experiences in new computing technologies like GPU computing.

The CASPUR@XLrate project announced at the ISC10 in Hamburg
 CASPUR presented last week, at the ISC10 supercomputing conference in Hamburg, the project CASPUR@XLrate, a new collaboration with Microsoft EMEA and Ylichron Srl. At the Microsoft booth, CASPUR showed an example application on Tesla GPU running a simulation of DNA damage following irradiation, and illustrated the case study, available on Microsoft website or in PDF format.
