BACKUP SYSTEMS

AFS Backup

CASPUR’s AFS cells (caspur.it, italia, icemb.it, tgrid.it) are subjected to a daily backup, in order to save all the data archived on AFS. It is a flexible backup system, which offers an easy access to the daily snapshots of backuped volumes.

TMS Backup

Tivoli Storage Manager is used mainly to backup Windows, Solaris, Aix and Linux clients. Through CASPUR’s Tape Dispatcher, TMS shares a tape system (LTO3584 library) which has a proper number of tapes dedicated to this service.
