NETWORK
Our group attends to all matters associated to the interconnection of calculators, both locally and wide-ranging. Our activity covers all the aspects related to network security planning, development and management.
Our task is to guarantee the proper working of the Consortium’s network infrastructure, and planning increases of capacity according to new requirements and technological developments. Moreover, we provide professional advice to associated Universities and organizations that have an agreement with us.
Besides basic management, the job of the network administrators includes the development and planning of InRoma network activities. InRoma is an Internet access network – completely separated from the research network (GARR) – that CASPUR offers to its non-scientific clients. Inside the InRoma project, CASPUR hosts and manages NaMeX, an ISP interchange point.
