BIOMEDICAL INSTRUMENTS AND DATABASE
The “Genomic and proteomic bio-informatics” project is been coordinated by professor Cecilia Saccone (CNR and Bari University), within the framework of MIUR-FIRB project “Post-genome strategic program”.
At the moment, CASPUR is involved in the installation, development and management of mining devices and databases for molecular biology projects. Activities involve the University of Palermo (Rosario N. Mantenga) and Bari (Cecilia Saccone), CINECA Consortium (Elda Rossi) and IUSM (Vincenzo R. Spica), and include:

Studies on mirror sequences distribution in eucariotic genomes;

The formulation of pathogen specialist databases;

The development of web access devices and Wisconsin GCG databases.
