OPEN ADMISSIONS AT THE SECOND EDITION OF THE SUMMER SCHOOL OF ADVANCED COMPUTING
 August 28 - September 8, 2006 Villa Montecucco, Castel Gandolfo - Rome

From August 28 to September 8 2006, CASPUR organizes the second edition of the Summer School of Advanced Computing at Villa Montecucco in Castel Gandolfo (Rome). Classes are restricted to 20 participants (graduates, candidates for doctor’s degree, researchers) of different scientific subjects, with some experience in the field of scientific computing.
Classes will be held by CASPURS’ staff and external guests, and will focus on algorithms, use of databases in support of research activity, performances and tuning optimization, scripting languages in the field of computation, parallel computing, vector computing and Montecarlo methods in scientific computing. Preparatory program.
These external guests have confirmed their participation:
- prof. Jack Dongarra (ICL Tennessee, USA)
- prof. Enzo Marinari (University of Rome La Sapienza)
- prof. Michael Resch (HPCC Stuttgart, Germany)
- prof. Roberto Verzicco (Polytechnic of Bari)
The total School cost is Euros 600,00 per head, including full board in single room during the class days, such as from August 28 (Sunday morning) to September 1 (Friday afternoon), and from September 4 (Sunday morning) to September 8 (Friday afternoon).
